Donation Opportunities

Two years ago, Meeker County Democrats demonstrated the need for change in our nation by showing up at precinct caucuses and meetings, door knocking and putting out signs, donating money and working for candidates.

Now it is the time to make a change in our state and in our House and Senate distict. We need a new governor who will help restore and revitalize Minnesota, and we need representatives in the House and Senate who will help him or her achieve those goals.

One easy way to start is by joining the Meeker County DFL. Your contribution will help us open another main street office, contribute to candidates, advertise the DFL slate and run our convention, and you can join at any of three levels:

  • $10.00 - Basic Membership
  • $25.00 - Membership plus free admission to Chili Cook-off (held at the Darwin Rod and Gun Club, October, 2010) 
  • $50.00 - Membership plus free admission to Spring Fling (held at the Garden of Eating, Grove City, April, 2010)

One $10.00 bill won't do much, but if you multiply it by the number of Democrats in Meeker County, even that amount can make a difference in this critical election year. Pledge your support today!

In the past, we relied on the government rebate program for much of our funding. We asked people for a "loan" of $50.00 that would be repaid by the State of Minnesota. Due to the governor's unallotment, that program has ceased to exist, which is why we have reinstated our dues program.

You can send your dues check to Merle Larson, Meeker DFL Treasurer, 21950 CSAH 4, Dassel, MN 55325. You will receive a Meeker County DFL membership card. If you have any questions, give Merle a call at 320-275-3705. You can also bring your dues check to our Caucus on February 2, 2010 at the Litchfield Middle School cafeteria or to any of our monthly meetings generally held on the third saturday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Litchfield Public Library, 216 Marshall Ave.
